Can our platform take a commission?
Updated
Short answer
Yes. On top of Payluk’s 2%, a merchant can set its own commission percentage and add a per-escrow delivery or handling fee. When the escrow completes, the seller receives their share, and the merchant’s commission and delivery fee are credited to the merchant wallet automatically as separate commission and delivery transactions. A single escrow therefore settles to the seller, your platform and Payluk in one step.
How the money splits
- Escrow fee = Payluk’s 2% + your commission %. Who pays it is set per escrow: buyer, seller or 50/50.
- Delivery or handling fee: optional, set per escrow before payment, paid to you in full with no Payluk cut
- When the escrow completes, the seller gets the escrow amount minus their fee share, and you get your commission plus any delivery fee
- If the escrow is refunded, you decide whether the delivery fee goes back to the buyer
